Potato grading season – various positions available!

We have multiple positions available starting Monday 18th March. Hours of work will vary based on the positions listed below:

  • Grader (Lab) – 8.00am – 4.00pm
  • Truck Sampler (Lab) – dayshift 6.00am – 4.00pm and nightshift 4.00pm – 2.00am
  • Storage Sampler (Shed) – dayshift 6.00am – 4.00pm and nightshift 4.00pm – 2.00am
  • Piler Operator (Shed) – dayshift 6.00am – 4.00pm and nightshift 4.00pm – 2.00am
  • Forklift Driver (Shed) – dayshift 6.00am – 4.00pm and nightshift 4.00pm – 2.00am

Monday to Friday with the addition of half days on Saturday from 6.00am – 12.00pm and 12.00pm to 5.00/6.00pm

All of the above roles require a certain level of physical fitness and you will need to be ok with working outdoors in a dusty environment at times. You will need to be available from 14th & 15th March for two days training then for 4-6 weeks from the 18th March.

In order to be considered you will have the relevant work/holiday visa and have the legal right to work in NZ.

Opportunity for Trades Assistant/Labourers

We have a new contract for the coming New Year, some exciting roles to fill in for a potential 3-month contract in 2024!

You will be:
• Assisting in the installation and maintenance of drainage systems.
• Digging trenches and excavating areas for drainage pipes.
• Carrying and handling materials and tools.
• Assisting in the assembly and placement of drainage components.
• Supporting the team with various tasks related to the project.

To excel in this role, you should possess the following attributes:
• Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy objects.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Previous experience in construction, drainage, or labourer roles is a plus but not required.
• You must have a full clean drivers’ licence – highly beneficial is Class 2!

Labourer/Forklift Operator required for Cool Store

Our client is now winding into the busy season and needing staff to help in the warehouse. They have multiple warehouse sites and you will be working between them all. This is a physical role that will include hand stacking containers for export product amongst other general warehouse tasks. You could be a school leaver or just looking to make a change from your current job to join a great team.

Hours of work are 6.00am to 2.30pm Monday to Friday. Forklift licence preferred but not essential.

They pride themselves on having an amazing team culture and as such it is vital that the people who join their team bring the same enthusiasm and above all must have a good attitude and willing to pitch in where needed.

You will need to have a clean driver’s licence and be free from criminal convictions.

Hybrid Crop Staff

We are starting early to build our local team of staff, work will begin in early September and hit its peak in mid October. The role entails walking through hybrid crops all over Mid Canterbury, removing the rogue male/female plants to help our growers gain perfection in their export crops.

We take pride in the fact that every hybrid crop our crews’ tended last season were all certified first time round.

The ideal applicants will bring the following attributes:

• The ability to work harmoniously in a team environment
• Excellent attention to detail
No drivers licence is required as you only need to get yourself to our Moore Street office each morning, however, a full, clean Driver Licence could place your application at an advantage.

With Traffic Control, no day is the same. You will need to be ok with working outdoors in all weathers. Good communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure is key.

You will be working in below freezing temperatures at times, a strong work ethic is key.

They are seeking strong, fit labourers and Forklift Operators to fill their ever expanding team. If you have your Forklift qualification but no experience and are keen to work from the ground up, you won’t be excluded.

Meat Processing Labourer

We are on the lookout for someone fit and strong to work in our Meat Processing plant. You will be assisting with the breakout team working with frozen product and will alternate between roles within this small yet highly productive team. This is a physical and fast-paced role and you will be lifting up to 25kg on a regular basis.

Hours of work are Monday to Saturday 6.00am to 12.30pm. The afternoon is then yours to enjoy!

Given the physical nature of this role you will need to be free from any back or neck injuries.

Subject to Ministry of Justice background checks.
