Temporary Port Work

Our client requires labour support on the wharf. Work hours are usually one to two 12-hour shift per week, day shift and night shift available.

The successful candidate should:

– Be physically fit and able to follow instructions.

– Have a strong commitment to workplace health and safety.

– Have reliable transport to and from the Port location.

– Be drug and alcohol free.

– Have flexibility in your attitude and most of all be reliable!

Class 2 Driver / Labourer

We are looking for a reliable person with previous Class 2 truck driving experience to work alongside a small high performing team to deliver goods to a variety of worksites throughout the South Canterbury region. There will be labouring involved which does include heavy lifting so you will need to be physically fit and enjoy working as part of a team. They also deal with imported household goods, there may be times that you are required to do the Christchurch run to return containers (Class 4).

The role will be Monday to Friday with some Saturdays on occasions during busy periods. A Class 2 driver licence is essential, but Class 4 would be advantageous as there is opportunity to also drive Class 4. If you have a clean driving record, enjoy being part of a team and don’t mind manual labour, we want to hear from you!

Meat Processing Factory Labourer

We are on the lookout for someone fit and strong to work in our Meat Processing Factory. You will be assisting with the breakout team working with frozen product and will alternate between roles within this small yet highly productive team. Other aspects of this role may include mincing, packing, sorting fresh/raw meat products. This is a physical and fast-paced role, and you will be lifting up to 25kg on a regular basis.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday 7.00am to 2.30pm. Alternate hours are 7.00am – 4.30pm for those wanting extended hours.

What we are looking for?

  • Flexible and adaptable to change
  • Reliability and a good work ethic is key
  • Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment
  • Self-motivation and able to work independently when required

Given the physical nature of this role you will need to be free from any back or neck injuries.

Labourer/Forklift Operator required for Cool Store

Our client is now winding into the busy season and needing staff to help in the warehouse. They have multiple warehouse sites and you will be working between them all. This is a physical role that will include hand stacking containers for export product amongst other general warehouse tasks. You could be a school leaver or just looking to make a change from your current job to join a great team.

Hours of work are 6.00am to 2.30pm Monday to Friday. Forklift licence preferred but not essential.

They pride themselves on having an amazing team culture and as such it is vital that the people who join their team bring the same enthusiasm and above all must have a good attitude and willing to pitch in where needed.

You will need to have a clean driver’s licence and be free from criminal convictions.

Hybrid Crop Staff

We are starting early to build our local team of staff, work will begin in early September and hit its peak in mid October. The role entails walking through hybrid crops all over Mid Canterbury, removing the rogue male/female plants to help our growers gain perfection in their export crops.

We take pride in the fact that every hybrid crop our crews’ tended last season were all certified first time round.

The ideal applicants will bring the following attributes:
