Tertiary Students & School Leavers Holiday Work

We are seeking willing and reliable tertiary students or young people 17+ to fill various temporary assignments as we approach our busiest months of the year.

Positions include but are not limited to:

  • General Labouring
  • Factory work
  • Farm work
  • Furniture Removal
  • Port work

Successful candidates must be:

  • Hard working and reliable
  • Physically fit (able to lift up to 25kg’s on a regular basis)
  • Available at short notice and for some weekend work
  • Able to pass a drug test
  • Willing to complete an ACC and Ministry of Justice check

We have a range of clients seeking experienced forklift drivers that are competent in both long and short forks along with loading at heights and must be able to demonstrate good accuracy and precision in previous roles. There may also be a small component of labour involved too.

We are currently looking for hard working individuals who are available for a range of temporary / permanent assignments with immediate start.

The work will be in a range of industries such as:

  • Factory Labouring
  • Port work
  • Scaffold labouring
  • General Labouring
  • Process Operators
  • Osh and F Endorsed

In order to succeed in many of our assignments, you will have strong communication skills, and you will be physically fit and able to complete manual handling and heavy lifting duties. The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team is very important.

-Have a commitment to Health & Safety in the workplace
-Be physically fit and able to do heavy, manual labouring

Whilst most of these roles are based in South Canterbury, it would be beneficial to have your own transport, and a current, clean licence.

Forklift Operator – ASHBURTON

A busy, progressive pack house in the Ashburton area is looking for a qualified, experienced Forklift driver to join their team. They are all about their people and are working hard to ensure their team is valued, effective and growing personally.

As the successful Candidate you can expect to receive:

Produce is packed into crates out in the paddock and bought to the pack house to be unloaded into the processing area for grading/snap chilling etc.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Loading/unloading pallets of produce and distributing it into the processing area
• Preparing product for dispatch (wrapping/labelling etc.)
• Meeting deadlines
• Competent and accurate computer skills for traceability recording

Mechanical knowledge and/or an F license endorsement as well as OSH, would place your application at an advantage, all applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, complete a Ministry of Justice and ACC checks.
