We are currently seeking hard working, fit individuals who enjoy working shifts and are available for a range of temporary/permanent assignments with an immediate start. 

The work will be in a range of industries such as:

  • Factory Labouring
  • General Labouring
  • Port work

In order to succeed in many of our assignments, you will have strong communication skills, and you will be physically fit and able to complete manual handling and heavy lifting duties. If you have your Forklift licences or at least have experience then all the better!

Successful applicants will need to:

• Have a commitment to Health & Safety in the workplace
• Be physically fit and able to do heavy, manual labouring

Whilst most of these roles are based in South Canterbury/North Otago, it would be beneficial to have your own transport and at least your Restricted Licence. As some of these roles are on the city fringe, and you do not have your own transport you must be able to reliably get to your assignments on time every day.

We need experienced Forklift Operators who are also willing to participate in some manual labour when required. It’s handy if you don’t have allergies and are happy working in dust and with fertilisers, or you might have experience operating a forklift when working with fragile articles or timber and steel.

Factory Machine Operators

Are you reliable and able to work Monday to Friday? Do you enjoy working as part of a team? Are you physically fit and able to follow instructions? 

We are looking for Machine Operators to fulfill different positions for two local Ashburton companies. We have day, twilight and night shifts available with an immediate start. Duties include general labouring, machine operation, stacking, packing and assembling. There may also be some heaving lifting up to 25 kg so you need to be physically capable. 

The successful candidate will be:
• Reliable and committed to the Job
• Able to follow instructions and show initiative
• Be able to work well as part of a team
• Must be Health & Safety conscious
• Willing to learn and upskill
• Previous factory experience an advantage but not essential


A forklift endorsement (or OSH) would be an advantage but not a pre-requisite.

A full time long term contract opportunity has arisen in Timaru for an experienced Industrial Painter and/or Abrasive Blaster to join a small dedicated team working in a highly specialised area of the industry. This opportunity is likely to evolve into a permanent role for the right person.

If you are an Abrasive Blaster you will:

  • Have experience with all types of industrial primers, intermediate coats and finish coating
  • Be experienced with conventional spray and airless systems

Our client is currently seeking a QA Assistant to help in the laboratory to test various plastic products to ensure the quality continues to be of a high standard. Previous experience in quality control in the plastics industry is preferential but training will be provided for the right applicant. 

Initially training will be on day shift until confident and then will transfer to twilight or night shift.

Twighlight & Night Shift – Machine Operator
