Spuds Storage Season – Piler Operator (2 Shifts Available)

We are looking for:

  • Physically fit and strong team player
  • Reliability and a good work ethic is key
  • Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment
  • Self-motivation and able to work independently when required

The role includes: – Setting up the aeration pipes – Starting up the piler to commence unloading – Machine operating – Building & maintaining the pile of potatoes to keep it flat on top following a line on the side of the shed wall, moving the piler machine when required. – Other general labouring work required for potato storage

Hours:

Monday – Friday; Dayshift 6.00am – 4.00pm / Nightshift 4.00pm – 2.00am

Saturday; Dayshift 6.00am – 12.00pm / Nightshift 12.00pm to 6.00pm

This role requires a certain level of physical fitness and you will need to be ok with working outdoors in a dusty environment at times.

A full time contract opportunity has arisen in Timaru for an Abrasive Blaster/Painter to join a small dedicated team working in a highly specialised area of the industry.

We have an excellent opportunity for someone who is ready to make the move from a ‘job’ to a ‘career’! The role is a longer term temporary role, however if after time you are demonstrating a good work ethic, you may be offered a permanent position.

Our client is looking for someone to join their team of Abrasive Blasters/Painters. The successful candidate will be working across a number of industries, including sand blasting, spray painting and rust proofing fishing boats. You will be working away from home at times (up to two weeks away) at the Hydro Stations. This is a physical role and you will need to be free from any neck/back injuries.

This is a business with a great commitment to their staff. They are willing to take someone under their wing and give them the training and guidance to make them a success in this role. Prove yourself as an asset to this team, and you will be rewarded very well.

Labourer/Forklift Operator required for Cool Store

Our client is now winding into the busy season and needing staff to help in the warehouse. They have multiple warehouse sites and you will be working between them all. This is a physical role that will include hand stacking containers for export product amongst other general warehouse tasks. You could be a school leaver or just looking to make a change from your current job to join a great team.

Hours of work are 6.00am to 2.30pm Monday to Friday. Forklift licence preferred but not essential.

They pride themselves on having an amazing team culture and as such it is vital that the people who join their team bring the same enthusiasm and above all must have a good attitude and willing to pitch in where needed.

You will need to have a clean driver’s licence and be free from criminal convictions.
