Our Temuka based client requires a capable, experienced and mature minded Forklift Operator who is accurate and can work at pace. You will enjoy a busy day and be pleased to show us your skills!

You will possess the following:

  • Current F & OSH
  • Demonstrated Forklift experience, confident and competent working with fragile product
  • Able to work at pace and confident while doing so
  • You will understand and appreciate my client’s respect for Health and Safety.
  • A “can do” proactive work ethic, along with being reliable.
  • You must have a current licence and reliable transport.

This role is working only Mondays – Fridays, 6am – 4.30pm with no weekends. During the quiet period days of work  will be Monday to Thursday.

We are finding more and more that a good temporary worker is often considered for a full time role if you can prove yourself. It is important that the successful applicant is in a position to commence this role close to immediately.

All applicants must be conviction free, willing to complete a Ministry of Justice check and able to pass a pre-employment drug test.

Are you experienced in organising and leading a team in a manufacturing environment? Do you have a certificate in Plastics Processing Moulding Level 3 or Equivalent? Do you have a good understanding of NZ Health and Safety standards and able to implement new procedures?

About the role

We are looking for a hands-on Process Technician who will be responsible for the Night Shift’s production of various plastic products in the Rotational Moulding Department. You will be organising the workload and leading the Night Shift Team to ensure Health and Safety is adhered to and to manage the quality of products and the environment. As part of this role, you will provide on-going support and training to ensure the team meets daily, weekly and monthly objectives by guiding them and promoting a productive, safe and efficient environment.

Required Experience and Knowledge

  • Previous leadership experience required
  • Rotational Moulding Experience desirable
  • Forklift Licence and Gantry Crane desirable
  • Understanding of Health & Safety practices of LOTO & JSEAs
  • Good oral and written communication
  • Competent with computer systems and proficient with MANGO

This position is Night Shift shift working Monday to Thursday from 4.00pm-4.00am with overtime rates and allowances. The successful applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment drug test and must be conviction free.
