We are currently looking for hard working individuals who are available for a range of temporary assignments, both short and long term. LOADER OPERATOR WITH WTR

Our client is seeking a capable, experienced and mature minded Loader Operator to help them through their high season through to May. Although this is a long term temporary role, there may be an opportunity for this vacancy to become permanent for the right person, although we cannot guarantee this.

You will possess the following:

  • Current WTR endorsement
  • Demonstrated Loader experience with a “can do” work ethic
  • You will understand and appreciate my client’s respect for Health and Safety.
  • You won’t be averse to some manual labour as part of the role
  • As this role is in Washdyke you will need a clean, current licence and reliable transport.

This position involves working with fertiliser which can be an irritant, it is important that you don’t suffer allergies or asthma.

We are finding more and more that a good temporary worker is often considered for a full time role if you can prove yourself.

It is important that the successful applicant is in a position to commence this role close to immediately.

Maintenance Electrician – Day Shift

Are you an experienced Maintenance Electrician looking for a change? Do you have a NZ EWRB Electrical Certification? Are you competent working as an electrician in the industrial environment?

Our client has been operating in Ashburton for over 40 years and is part of a large global group that manufacture high quality plastic products to clients nationally and worldwide. Due to the high demand of their quality product and continual market and company growth, they require a NZ Qualified Electrician to support their manufacturing process.

You will provide electrical maintenance and support to the manufacturing plant by ensuring all electrical systems within the plant are operating correctly, responding promptly to any breakdowns and ensuring there is minimal interruption to manufacturing processes caused by electrical faults or breakdowns.

This is a hands-on role which will suit someone who is comfortable working autonomously, is enthusiastic and motivated, and above all is reliable and trustworthy. You will have good written and verbal communication skills and have a solid background as an electrician within an industrial environment.

To be considered for this position you will have:
• A current NZ Electrical practising licence – EWRB Registered
• Proven background of electrical maintenance in a manufacturing environment
• Awareness of Health & Safety
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• A positive and proactive attitude

To be successful in this role you will need to have excellent organisational skills and record-keeping, be able to build solid relationships with colleagues and external clients and be able to problem solve.

The hours for this role are day shift, Monday to Friday 7.00am-3.00pm along with rostered overtime as required.

Grain Store Assistant – Part Time

As a malt producer, our client has three main business sites around New Zealand, which consist of: a plant breeding station, a malt house and a grain storage facility. Our client is currently looking for a permanent part time Grain Store Assistant to join their close-knit team at their Ashburton Branch. This part time position will be 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday 7am -11am and covering annual leave as required.

Duties will include:
• Operating equipment for accumulation and dispatch of product
• Manual labouring lifting seed bags
• Computer data entry and record keeping
• Communication with other branches, contractors and clients
• Working alongside the store supervisor organising: grower contact, sample collection, site visits, inspection of grower crops, silos and records

The ideal candidate will bring the following experience and attributes:
• Previous logistics experience
• Confident using up to date computer software
• General maintenance ability
• Self-motivated and physically fit
• Most importantly you will thrive working as part of the team
• Clean drivers licence

Flexibility will be required in this role to accommodate seasonal peaks and to cover when other staff members are away.

• Night Shift – Factory Packing Staff – 5.45pm-5.45am – Monday to Friday (12 hour shift)
• Day Shift – Factory Pallet Stacking Staff – 5.30am-5.30pm – 4 on 4 off roster (12 hour shift)
• Night Shift – Factory Pallet Stacking Staff –5.30pm-5.30am – 4 on 4 off roster (12 hour shift)

No experience is required; however the ideal candidate will bring the following work attributes:
