Forklift Operator

Our client is a well-known and reputable company that pride themselves on providing a healthy work/life balance for their employees. They have a strong commitment to the Health & Safety of their staff as well as being known as a great place to work. They have a small but highly productive team.

We are on the lookout for a skilled forklift operator. This is initially a full time temp position but has the strong potential for you to be offered a permanent position with the company.

Ideally you will have prior warehousing experience and be able to stack confidently with precision. You will be loading trucks, processing inwards good, staging, picking orders amongst other duties as required.

As well as a skilled operator, you will need to be accurate with paperwork and confident with a scanner.

Potato grading season – various positions available!

We have multiple positions available starting Monday 18th March. Hours of work will vary based on the positions listed below:

  • Grader (Lab) – 8.00am – 4.00pm
  • Truck Sampler (Lab) – dayshift 6.00am – 4.00pm and nightshift 4.00pm – 2.00am
  • Storage Sampler (Shed) – dayshift 6.00am – 4.00pm and nightshift 4.00pm – 2.00am
  • Piler Operator (Shed) – dayshift 6.00am – 4.00pm and nightshift 4.00pm – 2.00am
  • Forklift Driver (Shed) – dayshift 6.00am – 4.00pm and nightshift 4.00pm – 2.00am

Monday to Friday with the addition of half days on Saturday from 6.00am – 12.00pm and 12.00pm to 5.00/6.00pm

All of the above roles require a certain level of physical fitness and you will need to be ok with working outdoors in a dusty environment at times. You will need to be available from 14th & 15th March for two days training then for 4-6 weeks from the 18th March.

In order to be considered you will have the relevant work/holiday visa and have the legal right to work in NZ.

Class 5 Driver/Store person

Our client is looking for a Class 5 driver to join their team. They run their own fleet to service the logistics of the their Third Party Warehouses around Timaru. There will be a lot of variety within the role, some days may see you back and forth to Christchurch or doing local pickups to return freight back to the warehouse. Other days you may be on the Forklift or helping out in the store where required.

Hours of work will vary base on your schedule for the day, averaging between 40-50. There will be the occasional weekend where you will be required to work to unload vessels.

Class 2, 4, 5 with WTR drivers required

We have a range of clients on the look out for skilled Class 2/4/5 drivers – additional bonus if you have your Wheels/Tracks/Rollers.

In order to be considered you will need to meet the following criteria:

• Physically fit and capable of manual labour
• Excellent work ethic
• Proven NZ driving experience
• Be willing to work overtime as required
• Be able to pass a Pre-employment drug test

Loader operator

We have a role become available for 6 week period, ideal if you have relocated to the region and looking to get the foot in the door with a well-known and respected company. Initially this is a temp role however there is always the option for the right person to become a permanent employee.

You will need to have recent and relevant experience operating a loader. A full class 1 license with WTR is essential, you will be given preference if you have your Class 2.

There is a fair amount of repetition in this role and you must be ok with working longer hours.

Class 4 and Class 5 Driver

We have 2 unique opportunities for both a Class 4 and a Class 5 driver

Role #1 – Reference #TIMSAL
Class 4 role will require you to operate a sweeper, vacuum truck also undertake water blasting as well as service farm septic tanks. There is an element of labour however technique is key. You are guaranteed a very good pay rate alongside full time (plus if you wish) hours, coupled with the fact your colleagues all know how to have a laugh and make work enjoyable. This is not a role where you are seated from point A to B – every day is different.

Role #2 – Reference #TIMRON
Class 5 Driver – we require a driver with no less than 1 years experience, ideally in bulk cartage however all applicants with relevant experience will be considered. The industries we specialise in are earthmoving, civil construction, pipe and cable laying, drilling, cartage and transportation.

Forklift Operator/Labourer

Our long established client is a family owned and operated business, serving the Canterbury region for over 50 years. You will be working in below freezing temperatures at times, a strong work ethic is key.

They are seeking strong, fit labourers and Forklift Operators to fill their ever expanding team. If you have your Forklift qualification but no experience and are keen to work from the ground up, you won’t be excluded.
