Class 5 Drivers – Harvest Season

Do you have truck driving experience in the agricultural industry? Are you competent driving a truck and trailer?

We are currently seeking skilled class 5 truck drivers for the up-coming harvest season to cart a range of bulk products such as silage, grain and fertiliser throughout Mid Canterbury.

You must have:
• A Class 5 license with a clean driving record
• Experience driving a truck and trailer unit and backing
• Physically fit, honest and reliable
• Flexible working hours
• Compliant with all health and safety policies and procedures

You will need to be flexible with hours, there will be times when you will need to work longer when the weather is right and you must be able to work well as a part of a team. The roles are to cover the harvest season from October through until March but could be longer for the right person.

Heavy Machinery Groomer with W, T, R (Casual)

Do you have Wheels, Tracks and Rollers (W,T,R) and are competent shifting heavy machinery? Are you physically fit with good attention to detail?
We are seeking a reliable and conscientious worker to groom heavy machinery for a local hire company. You will be required to have your W,T,R so you can shift machinery into the cleaning bay, clean with a high pressure hose on the outside and then groom the inside to make it spick and span before it is re-hired. Part of the process will also include documenting any damage on a checklist.
You will need to by physically fit with good attention to detail and be able to work unsupervised. Initially this role will be on a casual basis as and when required but possibly 2 days each week with a view of more days as business develops.

Our client is looking for a Part Time Delivery Driver to pick-up and deliver laundered client orders to a variety of businesses around Mid Canterbury. This will be a physical role which will involve lifting up to 25 kg so you must be physically fit and reliable.

You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have good time management skills to ensure client orders are returned on time. You will be the face of the company so it is imperative that you are well presented and have a friendly and professional approach.

To be a good fit for this role you will need to have the following attributes:

Forklift Operator / Yardman – Casual basis

Do you have proven ability operating a forklift? Are you experienced with inwards goods, picking and dispatching orders? Do you have good communication, literacy, and numerical skills?

This position is a hands-on role, working on a casual basis, to assist distribution and to effectively ensure a smooth flow with inwards goods, picking and dispatching orders, while meeting company customer standards. This role will involve loading and unloading trucks and containers, shifting stock around the yard, inventory control, some computer work and physical labouring. This role is on a casual basis, (as and when required), to cover the seasonal peak from September through to November and will be during weekdays, Monday to Friday.

Experience in warehousing, logistics and forklift operation would be ideal as the environment can be hi-paced during seasonal peaks, you must be able to manage pressure and be able to work extra hours to meet customer demands. You will maintain a high level of H&S and an accurate picking performance.

To be considered for this position you will have:

  • Current OSH Forklift and preferably F Endorsement
  • Competent with forklift operation
  • Working knowledge of NZ Health and Safety
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Have an excellent work ethic and be reliable
  • Flexible with days and hours

You will be working with modern machinery, in very busy environments and with a great team.
