Forklift Superstar – Day Shift

Our client is on the lookout for motivated and skilled forklift drivers with a F endorsement and/or current OSH licencing to join the day shift team for a local seed processing plant. They are looking for a hard working individual to fit in with the day to day running of their operations with the potential for the role to become permanent for the right person.

The ideal candidate will bring the following experience and attributes:
• Current F Endorsement and/or OSH licensing
• Be physically fit and be able to handle manual lifting duties.
• Good communication skills
• Be able to work in a team environment but also individually
• Previous experience loading and unloading trucks
• Having a drivers licence and your own reliable transport would place your application at an advantage however is not essential.

Permanent Class 2 driver!

Our client requires a Class 2 Driver with an immediate start for the right person. You will need to be clean-cut and presentable as you will be dealing with customers face to face on a daily basis. If you have your Class 2 Licence but do not have a lot of experience our client is willing to dedicate time for full training.

We are looking for a Superstar all-rounder who is happy to combine driving with some labour, you need to be physically able and capable of lifting.

There is the opportunity to move into a leadership role further down the line and oversee the day to day running of the crew on your job site. You need to be a forward thinker and lead the way with a good positive attitude. Trouble shooting and identifying issues are key attributes our client is looking for.

You will need to have a Clean Licence, be fully vaccinated and prepared to undergo a Drug screening and Ministry of Justice background check.

Forklift Yardman

Are you competent operating forklift? Do you have warehousing or storeman experience? Do you have good communication, literacy, and numerical skills?

This position is a hands-on role to assist distribution and to effectively ensure a smooth flow with inwards goods, picking, packing, and dispatching orders. This role will involve loading and unloading trucks and containers with the forklift, shifting stock around the yard, inventory control, some computer work and physical labouring. You can expect to be operating the forklift 80% of the time and 20% completing paperwork for freight consignments.

Experience in warehousing, logistics and forklift operation is essential as the environment can be hi-paced during seasonal peaks, you must also be able to work extra hours to meet customer demands as required. You will maintain a high level of H&S and be accurate and methodical in your work.

To be considered for this position you will have:

  • Current OSH Forklift and preferably F Endorsement
  • Competent with forklift operation
  • Working knowledge of NZ Health and Safety
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Have an excellent work ethic and be reliable
  • Flexibility to do extra hours

This position is Monday to Friday with the occasional Saturday morning during seasonal peaks, 40 hours per week with overtime as required, overtime rates and allowances are included.

The successful applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment drug test and must be conviction free to meet company policy.

Do you have truck driving experience in the agricultural industry? Are you competent driving a truck and trailer?

We are currently seeking skilled class 5 truck drivers for the up-coming harvest season to cart a range of bulk products such as silage, grain and fertiliser throughout Mid Canterbury.

You must have:

  • A Class 5 license with a clean driving record
  • Experience driving a truck and trailer unit and backing
  • Physically fit, honest and reliable
  • Flexible working hours
  • Compliant with all health and safety policies and procedures

You will need to be flexible with hours, there will be times when you will need to work longer when the weather is right and you must be able to work well as a part of a team. The roles are to cover the harvest season from October through until March but could be longer for the right person.
