Pump Installer / General Engineer

Do you enjoy variety, challenge and working outdoors? Are you an engineer with welding and pump knowledge? Do you have experience and understanding of irrigation?
An opportunity has arisen for someone with general Engineering ability to oversee the installation and removal of irrigation pumps and to repair a variety of pumps including submersible, domestic, “end suction” and stock water pumps. You will need to have good welding ability with ARC and MIG and excellent attention to detail. HT Class 4 is preferred but training will be provided for the right person.
This role is a permanent position working Monday to Friday, 7.30am-5.00pm and some rostered on-call weekends with hours varying during seasonal peaks. The successful applicant will need to have an engineer’s mind set, be mechanically minded and understand irrigation and pump systems.
Skills or experience should include:
• Proven experience with general engineering
• Competent with ARC and MIG welding
• Diagnostic and problem-solving ability
• Pump knowledge or understanding
• High level of communication
• A full driver’s license
• Class 4 Driver’s licence preferred but not essential as training provided
