ASHBURTON – Machinery Operator / Mechanic / Farm Hand / Engineer extraordinare

We are looking for a versatile person to work for our client on their 1,500ha property based 20 minutes out of Ashburton.  Ideally someone with a mechanical background and engineering skills would fit this role. 

This established farm is a busy environment where they try to be relatively self-sufficient, they fatten 6 – 8,000 store lambs, sow, spray and harvest their own crops with modern equipment and make their own baleage.  There is a Haushan 4000 sprayer, an excavator & digger on farm for the machinery operator with appropriate licenses. 

On a property this size, there is always R & M / improvement work that needs doing which is where your engineering & mechanical skills will come to the fore.

Auto Electrician

Are you an experienced auto electrician? Do you like variety and challenge in your work? Have you got multiple skills with a practical mind set?

We are looking for a trade qualified or experienced Auto Electrician to join a team of practical minded tradesman to assist with motorhome upgrades, design installs and repairs for clients throughout New Zealand. This role will involve installation of electrical systems, solar panels, generators, battery chargers, lighting, home theatre systems plus automatic control for fridges, water pumps and central heating systems.

The successful applicant will need to have a proven work history, have a hands-on approach, be able to work well as part of a team and be reliable and committed to the job. There is opportunity to learn other aspects of the business so a willingness to learn and improve is essential. 

This is a full time, permanent position, Monday to Friday, 8.00am – 5.00pm with the choice to finish early on a Friday. Weekends are by appointment only so there may be the odd Saturday that you would be required to work. A bonus incentive is available to those that prove themselves and work hard.

We are looking for a multi skilled handyman to join a team of practical minded tradesman, to assist with motorhome upgrades, design installs and repairs for clients throughout New Zealand. This role will involve a variety of work from welding, building, operating tools, general labouring duties and assisting the tradesman to complete specific jobs. On occasions you may be required to work from heights or in small spaces so it is imperative that Health and Safety procedures are followed at all times. 

The successful applicant will need to have a proven work history, have a hands-on approach, be able to work well as part of a team and be reliable and committed to the job. There is opportunity to learn other aspects of the business so a willingness to learn and improve is essential.
