Automotive Technician with Inspector qualification

Are you a qualified automotive technician or have a proven background in mechanics? Do you enjoy working on a diverse range of Vehicles?

Our client is looking for their next automotive technician to join their specialised team in Geraldine. They are well known for their elite service of all motor vehicles. You will hold either a current qualification or have a proven background in mechanics, with experience in electronic systems, diagnostic scanning equipment and be able to carry out all mechanical repairs unsupervised. The latest in diagnostic and re-coding equipment is used and up to date training is supplied.

The successful applicants will require:

  • Qualification in automotive mechanics or a background in mechanics
  • Diagnostic, mechanical and electric and knowledge
  • Passion for vehicles all shapes and sizes
  • Good customer service skills
  • A broad skill base across servicing and repairing
  • Excellent work ethic
  • Quality workmanship, neat and tidy

Flooring Installer

This is an awesome opportunity to join a well-established trade services company in Timaru. We are on the lookout for an experienced flooring installer! This role would suit someone with experience in laying carpet, vinyl and carpet tiles.

The successful candidate will

  • have experience in flooring installations including floor preps
  • be able to read site plans and drawings
  • be reliable, flexible, and adaptable to changing needs
  • be self-motivated and able to work independently when required
  • be physically fit and strong

Hours will be 7:00am – 5:00pm approx. 45 hours / week. Given the physical nature of this role you will need to be free from any back, or knee injuries.

Qualified Engineer

Our client is experiencing a growth period and are now on the lookout for an Engineer that thrives on a challenge and is always willing to step up and do what it takes to get the job done. Alternatively you might be a builder, mechanic, electrician, or similar trade looking to make a career change.

You will have a proven background in your trade of choice, however preference will be given to someone with exceptional welding skills and general engineering background. Our client covers all engineering needs, from custom and one-off pieces to prototypes, and light, or heavy fabrication jobs, with a diverse customer base from transport and primary industries to manufacturing and food processing,

Hours of work will be 7.00am – 4.30pm, overtime will apply after this, there may be weekend work at times as required.

You will be required to undergo a pre-employment drug test as well as random workplace testing. Ministry of Justice background checks apply.
