Super Star Agricultural Mechanic

Our Temuka based client is currently seeking an Agricultural Mechanic to join their Workshop Team, working closely with their Workshop Manager/Engineer and Paint Sprayer. The duties of this role will include working on, servicing and fixing company trucks, utes, various makes of tractors and machinery. Pricing parts and liaising with the owner on best practice is a main component of the role. Over different periods of the year, you may be asked to help out in other areas of the business. Weekend work and on call in the busy months will be required.

The successful candidate will be offered a very competitive hourly rate based on experience and the opportunity for the company help you gain HT licencing if not already obtained.

The ideal candidate will bring the following experience and attributes:
• Previous knowledge of agricultural machinery. Ability to service utes, trucks, and tractors as a minimum.
• Mechanically minded and able to perform general machinery maintenance and repairs.
• Work productively and efficiently, prioritising and completing tasks to a high calibre.
• Have an excellent work ethic and an all-round team player.
• Current, valid drivers’ licence.

Do you have previous experience in Warehouse Management? Have you worked in the agricultural sector and are familiar with Irrigation?

We are looking for a professional and customer service-orientated Store Manager to oversee daily operations at our busy new store based in Ashburton. As the Store Manager you will supervise the operational and organisational standards of the store and will be expected to lead, coach, and develop a small team of four. 

The purpose of the role is to ensure the warehouse operates smoothly and customers’ expectations (external and internal) are met within specific deadlines – especially during seasonal peaks.

Administrative Services Manager

Are you an experienced Senior Office Administrator with people management skills? Do you have strong organisational ability and able to manage and oversee a variety of tasks and challenges? Are you proficient and accurate with accounts and financials?

Take ownership of a busy and varied role managing the day-to-day functions of the Office Admin team for a local Ashburton company within the rural sector.

This role would suit a Senior Administrator who is an experienced and confident people leader who is capable and self-motivated.  You will be a team player who is naturally supportive, responsive, and caring and have the ability to motivate and develop staff. This role will also require you to be proactive, process driven and organised with a strong knowledge of administrative processes within a busy organization. Financial acumen and excellent interpersonal skills are a must.

Your role will include but not limited to….

  • Office Management – management of office admin staff, developing and implementing polices and procedures, reporting, covering staff, ensuring office operations and procedures are organised.
  • Financial – GST Filing and payments, oversee payroll, international transactions, coding of expenses and transactions, daily reconciliations, CFO support as required, prepare and process FBT transactions, accounts receivable/payable and invoicing.
  • Administration – Prepare sales proposals and invoicing for sales/design team, admin tasks for procurement, input and process client information including asset register, inputting and on-boarding of new clients, purchasing vehicle ORC, producing order numbers.
  • IT – Maintain the relationship with the external IT provider and ensure staff IT queries get answered, maintain training and updates for software programs, manage IT distribution of hardware and equipment to staff.
  • Event Management – All bookings are made for Field days, functions and promotional campaigns including advertising.
  • People Management – Provide training and training programs, approve annual leave/sick days, replacement staff and performance management.
  • Management Team – Actively participate in weekly Management meetings and work with others to achieve company goals.
  • Health & Safety – Ensure a safe work environment in accordance with legislation and company procedures, annual reviews of H&S procedures.

To be successful you will need to have Management experience and customer service ability, be proficient with Xero and Microsoft Office Suite and be competent with Debtors and Creditors.

This is a full-time permanent position 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday with hours of 8.00am-5.00pm.

An opportunity has arisen to join the team at a leading provider of irrigation solutions servicing Mid Canterbury clients. The purpose of the role is to ensure the warehouse operates smoothly and customers’ expectations (external and internal) are met within specific deadlines – especially during seasonal peaks. This would suit someone who is familiar with agricultural machinery and parts, has knowledge of fittings and irrigation systems and is good at finding solutions and fixing problems.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining stock levels
  • Receiving incoming goods
  • Receipting outgoing goods
  • Dealing with customer enquiries
  • Packing and dispatching phone/fax/email orders
  • Packing/sorting project or service job parts
  • Entering/allocating parts into computer system
  • Ensuring store is kept clean and presentable
  • HT Licence, F Endorsement and OSH forklift preferable

This is a full-time permanent position working Monday to Friday including rostered Saturdays during peak season. Hours during summer are 7am-5pm with overtime as required and winter hours are 8am-5pm dependant on customer demands.
