Our Client is an employer of choice who are leaders in the food manufacturing field. Their products are in high demand both nationally and internationally.

We are seeking a very high calibre applicant who wishes to enjoy a career and earn good money. This is initially a temporary role, however there is a high likelihood of the role going permanent for the successful candidate.

More about the role:

  • Located close to the CBD however you must have your own reliable transport and a clean Drivers Licence.
  • Fun, yet hardworking team.
  • Shift work – 4 on and 4 off. Your 4 on will consist of 2 x 12 hour day shifts and 2 x 12 hour night shifts, followed by 4 days off. The successful applicant may be required to work Monday – Friday to begin with.
  • Touch screen plant operation, therefore must be computer savvy.
  • Being a consumable production environment, hygiene and Health and Safety are of the utmost importance.
  • Excellent hourly rate to start.

You should possess the following criteria:

  • At least Level 2 NCEA or equivalent work experience in a similar environment
  • Capable and confident on computers and technology in general.
  • An awareness, and commitment to Health and Safety.
  • You won’t mind heights and you will be physically fit, easily able to handle 25kg bags from time to time.
  • You will be a mature, committed team player who enjoys your workmates and being part of a high functioning, hardworking group.
  • An F or OSH qualification is preferred but not necessary if you are the right person.
  • You won’t mind shift-work and will be committed to longevity in a role.

The person who is successful will have a proven “can do” work ethic and be proactive in his or her role. You will be an individual who has initiative, knows when to ask questions and be prepared to work hard. This is a rewarding role within a very busy, but rewarding environment, with an excellent team. There aren’t many roles in Timaru that compare to this one!

You will have NZ residency or a current NZ Open Work Visa and a good command of spoken and written english.
