Our client manufactures a range of quality truck bodies, drop sides, curtain sider trucks, decks and horse floats and has an immediate vacancy for experienced Fitter Welders to work in their busy workshop.

In this role you will be expected to be able to read plans, perform fabrication tasks, MIG welding and show initiative. The successful candidate will have good welding skills with a proven work history in engineering preferable, but will also consider applicants that have gained experience at home. Must have good communication skills and be able to follow instructions along with the ability to work unsupervised.

The hours are 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday with some weekend work if the need arises; wages are very much determined by experience and skill levels.

The successful candidate must be adept at:
• Reading plans
• MIG Welding
• Show initiative
• High standard of workmanship

Service Electrician

An opportunity has arisen for a EWRB Registered Electrician to join an innovative and experienced service team with a reputable irrigation client based in Ashburton. You will be responsible for the efficient repairs of domestic and irrigation pumps and pivots, general servicing, along with monitoring of project inventory to ensure stock levels are maintained for all Pivot and Pump installation projects. As part of this role you will also be responsible for signing off electrical work to NZ electrical regulations and safety standards. 

The successful applicant will need to be a NZ Registered Electrician with a proven work history, be motivated, an effective communicator with a good customer focus, and have the ability to work autonomously. 

Skills or experience should include:
• EWRB Registered Electrician
• Good knowledge of electrical 
regulations and legislation
• Able to plan on-site requirements and 
work to project timeframes
• Diagnostic and problem solving ability
• High level of communication
• Strong customer focus
• Comply with Health and Safety policies 
and procedures
• Full driver’s licence
