Factory Assistant and Administration

Our client is seeking a dedicated team member with an eye for accuracy to fill the role of Factory Assistant for a well established Ashburton based company. 

This role is a full-time, permanent position offering diversity within the company. As Factory Assistant you will be responsible for supporting the Factory Manager or Foreman in task for all product arriving into and out of the factory. Duties will include, but not limited to, running various factory machinery, monitoring stock levels, product inspection to ensure the company’s high standards are maintained and checking machinery. 

The Administration side of this position includes varied administration tasks such as data entry, printing orders and maintaining the company production schedule as require. 

This is a customer focused position and hours are generally Monday to Friday 7.30 am – 4.00 pm however you should be flexible enough to do some Saturday work and/or other hours as required. 

To be considered, its essential that you:
• Enjoy working in a team environment
• Are flexible and able to work full time hours
• Can pass a pre-employment drug test
• Are physically fit, ideally with the ability to lift up to 20kgs
• OSH and Forklift licence 
• Strong focus on Health and Safety is a priority

The ideal candidate will process strong customer service skills, be self-motivated, have a high level of integrity, good communication skills and work well within a team in a professional manner
