Uni Students- Temp Assignments

We are looking for university students to fill various temporary assignments over the summer holidays. The summer months are the busiest time of the year for many of our clients and they need hard working people to help them out.

Positions include but are not limited to:
– General labouring
– Rouging
– Factory work
– Furniture removal

Assignments vary from a couple of days to a couple of months- depending on the requirements of the client and skillsets of job seekers.

Successful candidates must be

A vacancy has arisen for a reliable and hardworking team member to join the forecourt service team as a trainee tyre fitter for a busy Christchurch branch. Previous experience within the tyre industry preferred, although additional fleet service training and support will be given to the successful applicant. You will receive on the job training in all aspects of the tyre industry from fitting and repairing car tyres through to forklift, heavy truck, tractor and earth mover tyres. In return, you will be rewarded with attractive hourly and overtime rates along with monthly and call-out bonuses.

You will need to be willing to work rostered Saturdays, hold a clean full drivers licence, be self-motivated and physically fit. A Heavy Traffic licence would be an advantage but not essential.

A full time permanent opportunity has arisen in Timaru for an experienced Industrial Painter and/or Abrasive Blaster to join a small dedicated team working in a highly specialised area of the industry.

The team are passionate about their trade, and are working for employers who support, develop and reward their staff, this is a position for someone who wants to be acknowledged for their outstanding work ethic.

If you are an Abrasive Blaster you will:

  • Have sound knowledge of Equipment – Blast Pots, Hoses and Compressors
  • Be familiar with specified blasting standards
  • Be able to prepare and blast intricate components as well as industrial steel

As an Industrial Painter you will:

  • Have experience with all types of industrial primers, intermediate coats and finish coating
  • Be experienced with conventional spray and airless systems
  • Be able to understand painting specifications and complete QA documentation
