We are looking for a multi skilled labourer to join a team of like-minded labourers, to assist in filling, bagging and mixing seeds. The role will involve a variety of work from lifting (25kg up to 50kg with a weighing machine), stacking pallets, general labouring and loading/unloading trucks.

The successful applicant will need to be reliable and committed to the job, be comfortable working in a dusty environment and be able to work well as part of a team. There is opportunity to learn other aspects of the business so a willingness to learn and improve is essential. 

A forklift endorsement would be a plus but not essential.

This is a temporary position that could lead to a permanent role for the right person.

Days are Monday to Friday, 7.00am – 4.00pm and ½ day Saturday’s as required.

If successful, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug test.

Twighlight & Night Shift – Machine Operator

Our Client urgently requires a Machine Operator to work twilight shift and nightshift in their factory making PVC and PVU pipe.
Ideally, you will have experience in machine operation or factory work and some computer knowledge. In certain roles there will be some lifting involved of up to 25 kg, you will need to be physically fit and be precise with measurements and documentation.

You must also be self motivated, a team player, have excellent work ethics and able to think on your feet.

You must be able to pass a full drug and alcohol assessment and have a clean criminal record to be considered for this position.

We are currently looking for hard working individuals who are available for a range of temporary / permanent assignments with immediate start. 

The work will be in a range of industries such as:

  • Engineering
  • HT Driving Roles
  • Factory Labouring
  • General Labouring

In order to succeed in many of our assignments, you will have strong communication skills, and you will be physically fit and able to complete manual handling and heavy lifting duties. The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team is very important.

We need experienced Forklift Operators who are also willing to participate in some manual labour when required. Its handy if you don’t have allergies and are happy working in dust and with fertilisers, or you might have experience operating a forklift when working wtih fragile articles or timber and steel.

Spray Painter / Assembler

Do you have previous Spray Painting experience? OR Are you prepared to learn and be trained? Do you like working in the agricultural sector with farm machinery? Can you use tools and assemble machinery?

A great opportunity has arisen for a motivated, hardworking individual to fill the role of Spray Painter / Assembler for a well-established Ashburton based agricultural company. 

The role will involve spray painting farm implements and machinery that is designed and manufactured on-site. No preparation is required before spray painting and all gear will be supplied. In addition to spray painting you will also be required to assemble farm machinery, this would ideally suit someone with previous spray painting experience and a mechanical aptitude. 

Although spray painting experience is preferred, full training will be given to the right applicant who possesses a good work ethic, attitude and willingness to learn.

Standard hours are 6.00am-4.30pm (10 hrs), Monday to Thursday, 6.00am-4.00pm (9.5 hrs) Friday with flexibility to work occasional Saturdays 6.00am – 12 noon. You must be able to get yourself to work each day as the location is based on the outskirts of Ashburton. 

This local agricultural company is well respected in the industry and prides themselves on being a family orientated business. They respect their staff for their hard work and provide a BBQ lunch every Friday and ½ hour early finish along with morning tea supplied each day.
